The budget should be low as we only see the heads of the dinosaurs and they are quite cheap-looking. Challenger (John Rhys-Davies) is suddenly in danger of extinction thanks to a greedy industrialist.
Natives on the plateau are not neanderthal-like ape-men but African tribes. Director Timothy Bonds atmospheric sequel takes up the story a few years later as the dinosaur-inhabited plateau discovered by Prof. John Rhys-Davies plays Professor Challenger and Eric McCormack plays Edward Malone. A young journalist and his two travel mates, both professors, embark on an expedition to return to a lost world of dinosaurs. This 1992 film was well down the line of movies that have been and will be made based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's science-fiction adventure novel, 'The Lost World.' It's also not the best nor the worst of the various renditions of movies. Jim, a boy, and Malu, a native young girl, are joining the expedition team (they are not in the original story). NR 1 hr 35 min Apr 7th, 1992 Action, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror. Lord John Roxton is replaced by a woman, Jenny Nielson. 
Gladys Hungerton is missing, thus Malone doesn't join the adventure to impress his fiancée. The action takes place in 1920 (instead 1912). The expedition goes to Africa (instead of South America). The film was adapted by David Koepp from Michael Crichton s novel The Lost World and was directed by Steven Spielberg. Synopsis: Professor Challenger leads team of scientists and adventurers to a remote plateau deep within the Amazonian jungle to investigate reports that dinosaurs still live there. The movie follows the general plot of the original story but with some differences: The Lost World: Jurassic Park (also known as The Lost World of Jurassic Park, or just Jurassic Park II) is a science fiction-adventure-monster-drama film and sequel to the blockbuster Jurassic Park. The movie is an adaptation of the Conan Doyle's novel: The Lost World (1912). A band of adventurers trapped in a prehistoric world must survive dinosaurs and other fearsome creatures with the help of a young wild woman.
